Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has said he is certain that at Tottenham Hotspur, Jose Mourinho will win a trophy.
Townsend told Talksport: “I am certain that during his time at Spurs, Jose Mourinho will win a trophy, regardless of whether it be the League Cup, the FA Cup, the Premier League or the Champions League.”
The 28-year-old came through the Tottenham youth ranks and made his senior London club debut in 2009. In all rivalries, he played 93 games for Spurs and scored 11 goals before joining Newcastle United.
The Crystal Palace winger feels Mourinho is the club’s ideal individual, and Spurs would be winning trophies under him.
Mourinho, arguably one of the world’s best managers, has earned titles in England, Italy, and Spain.
While Spurs can win a cup challenge under Mourinho, they need a greater interest in the squad to win the Premier League.
Yesterday the previous manager of Chelsea said that Daniel Levy, chairman of Spurs, wants accomplishment at the club. At the same time, he has demanded that the lack of football from the Champions League could have a major impact on transfer reserves.
