Managers Reaction
Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte: “I have to be honest, I think it [finishing fourth] is one of the most important achievements in my career. Sometimes it’s not only when you lift a trophy to be satisfied. I think we reached the maximum level that we dreamed of in November because then the situation was not so good for many reasons. The club changed the coach and with injuries, we tried to find a good solution. I think we’ve done a really good job and for me, this is a big achievement in a league that is very difficult because here you find the best players and best coaches. I’m happy even though I didn’t lift any trophy this season.”
Norwich head coach Dean Smith:
“The game summed up our season. There were too many individual errors that cost us goals. We had good moments in the game but we don’t take our chances. They were the better team on the day and they’ve got better players than scored good goals.”
Heung-Min Son: “I’m really happy. It feels amazing. When I saw it [the award] for the first time I felt a little bit emotional because when I was a kid I dreamed of it. When I got it in my hands I still don’t believe it. It’s an unbelievable achievement but I’m really grateful to my teammates, the fans, and the coaching staff for helping me.”
