Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo believes that the club is forcing him out and believes that Erik ten Hag has no respect for him. Ronaldo also asserted there has been “zero progress” at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in the summer of 2013 in an interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTV that was published by The Sun on Sunday night.
“Yes. not just the coach, but also the other two or three male club members. I felt duped,” Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo said. “Sincerely, I have no idea. I don’t care. The truth should be told to people. Yes, I do feel let down. Not just this year but also the year before, some folks didn’t want me here. I have no idea what’s happening. Since Sir Alex Ferguson left, the club has not changed, in my opinion. There was no progress. For instance, it’s intriguing how a team like Manchester United fired Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer) and hired the baffling Ralf Rangnick as their new sporting director. He’s not even a coach, this man! Not only did the hiring of a sporting director by a major club like Manchester United surprise me, it surprised everyone.”
“Nothing is altered. not only the pool, jacuzzi, or even the gym. Even some technological aspects, the kitchen, and the chefs — lovely people, I think! They stop in time, much to my surprise,” he added. “I feel that the fans deserve to know the truth. I want the club to succeed. I travel to Manchester United for this reason. However, there are some internal factors that prevent us from reaching the same level as City, Liverpool, and even now Arsenal. A team of this caliber should, in my opinion, be at the top of the tree, but they aren’t, which is disappointing. I adore Manchester United, and I adore the supporters—they’re always behind me. However, if they want to approach it differently, they will need to make numerous changes.”
