Arthur has agreed to join Barcelona’s Juventus, setting up an agreement that will see Miralem Pjanic move the other way, Goal can affirm.

The two deals are separate, and this isn’t technically a swap deal, with Arthur set to go to Juve for € 70 million ( £ 63 million/$79 million) and Pjanic set to step the other way for € 60 million ( £ 55 million/$67 million).

It speaks to a significant and rapid U-turn with respect to the player as it was recently stated he wanted to stay at Camp Nou regardless of being flattered by Juve’s interest.

With the clubs having reached terms already, the agreement is probably going to be raced through with Barca quick to finish the move by June 30 so they don’t complete the year in a negative financial position.

On the off chance that the clubs fail to reach a final agreement by July 1, Setien ‘s side would expect the value of Pjanic to depreciate by € 10 m ( £ 9m/$11 m), in this manner raising Juve’s total package.

Maurizio Sarri, manager of the Italian side, had recently indicated a move could be near.

Speaking at a question and answer session, he said: “I don’t have the foggiest idea what the situation is at Pjanic, yet right now we rely totally upon him. Regarding his outcomes, I can’t help thinking that he is improving. Arthur is a player in Barcelona and on the off chance that I started considering him it would appear to be awful. As Quique Setien talked of Pjanic, who is my companion, I didn’t care for it and I would prefer not to consider it in an absolute way. The club has not addressed me about this.”

Central midfielder Arthur joined Barcelona in 2018 making the switch just before his 22nd birthday from Brazilian side Gremio.

During his first season during Spain, he starred 44 times as Barca won the league crown however this season he’s been plagued by niggling injury issues and has just played 27 matches, scoring four goals.
