Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno injured

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno endured what resembled a genuine knee injury at the Amex Stadium as he attempted to catch the ball inside his net. BT Sport has chosen not to see replays of the episode that left Leno in apparent misery.

After getting two wounds during their first game back in the action at Premier League on Wednesday night, Arsenal has another major injury issue.

The Gunners take on Brighton on the south coast at Amex Stadium and they have to stress over one more injury emergency.

Neal Maupay, who went up and constrained Bernd Leno into his crate on the left edge of the floor, sought after Brighton’s cheerful ball.

The German goalkeeper carried the ball outside the area, yet clearly, it was a foul and Martin Atkinson blew for a free-kick.

However, Leno was in profound pain and his agonizing cries in a quiet arena were audible. The cot came on and the manager was carried off on it yet before he left he was not in such pain that he was unable to make his sentiments clear to the liable Maupay.

Leno sat on the cot pointing at the Brighton striker with an accusing finger having a couple of words with the Frenchman before he left the match.
