Since being stabbed during a burglary attempt, previous Liverpool and current Derby County defender Andre Wisdom are recouping in the hospital.
While visiting the family, Wisdom was assaulted in Toxteth, having starred for Derby in a 2-1 victory over Reading on Saturday.
The defender is recuperating in the hospital right now, with Derby announcing that Wisdom endured wounds during the attack.
The club said in a statement: “Andre Wisdom was the casualty of a ridiculous theft and assault. He sustained wounds that prompted his admission to hospital.”
Astuteness originally joined Liverpool at the age of 14 of every 2008, having recently ascended from the adolescent framework at Bradford City.
The defender made his Liverpool debut in 2012, where he played 19 times while scoring one goal in his first senior campaign under Brendan Rodgers.
The goal came on his introduction, a 5-3 Europa League victory over Young Boys, with Wisdom winning additional first-team appearances in the weeks that followed, including an appearance against Everton in the Merseyside derby in October 2012.
His subsequent season saw him make only three appearances to start the campaign before being loaned to Derby County, starting a series of loans away from Anfield.
Insight played for West Brom, Norwich, and RB Salzburg during that period, before joining Derby on a permanent deal in 2017.
After making the switch, Wisdom has made 58 appearances for the Championship side in all rivalries, scoring one goal.
Derby at present sits eighth in the championship following Saturday’s victory over Reading, with Wayne Rooney scoring last time out for the match dominating goal.
The Rams are three points shy of a playoff spot while at the same time being even with Preston North End in seventh place.
Derby faces Preston at Deepdale on Wednesday, before heading home to take fourth place throughout the end of the week in Nottingham Forest.
